The race will start and finish at the Lake Superior Zoo parking lot on July 14, 2012 at 6 am. Since the floods severely damaged parts of the usual course, this year’s run will be rerouted and will be a lollipop style out and back which will still include the beloved Powerlines and Jarrow’s Beach sections. Also some new and interesting single track from the zoo to Magney-Snively. Race day registration begins at 5 am for those who procrastinate – better yet, get your registration form here, and you can run a full marathon for only $10 if you are willing to volunteer at the full Voyageur 2 weeks later.
Several volunteers are still needed to help mow (July 7), mark the course (July 13), and crew the aid stations on race day.
Word is still not official on the full Minnesota Voyageur Ultra (perhaps 2 loops of this course?).
